Welcome to our website

Since 1988 Aycliffe Evangelical Church has sought to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with the people of Newton Aycliffe in County Durham in the North East of England. We are made up of people of various ages from young families to pensioners, but all sharing a common faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

We belong to the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC).

Whether you live locally or are just visiting the area, a warm welcome awaits you. Whether you know Jesus Christ personally as your Saviour or are just curious to find out more about Him, why not come along?

VISITING THE NORTH EAST ON HOLIDAY?

If you are anywhere near Newton Aycliffe (part way between Darlington and Durham) why not join us for worship. You will enjoy warm fellowship with Christian people. We are a very welcoming church and every service is followed by refreshments so we don't all rush away at the end. We enjoy chatting with each other and with visitors.

 SAFEGUARDING

Aycliffe Evangelical Church takes the safety and wellbeing of children and other vulnberable persons within its midst very seriously. We have produced a Safeguarding Policy based on the model policy of the Churches' Child Protection Advisory Service (CCPAS). Further details are available on request. E-mail enquiries@aycliffe-ec.org

At leadership level, one of our deacons, David Friery, acts as Safeguarding Officer. He is assisted by two deputies from the church membership, both of whom have professional experience in this field.

All our volunteers who work with children have received an enhanced CRB check, and such a check is a condition of being involved in such work.
